Please call the store directly and ask for a Manager on duty to book your event at 804-731-1220. This is best done during off peak hours of 2pm - 4pm weekdays.
We will make every effort to help with your booking or event but might need to return a call during heavy volume or capacity seating. We also work on specific menu and event planning within a 30-day window to give our patrons priority the closer they are to their event. We also cannot guarantee food availability, specific purveyors, or pricing in more than a 30-day window from booking time.
No private party bookings can be guaranteed or reserved without a signed event contract in place and a deposit. Please do not pay a deposit online unless a Manager or Events Coordinator of City Table has requested you to do so, and you have signed the City Table Event Contract.
Please note in the event your party or event increases in size without prior notice and approval; City Table cannot guarantee seating or service to patrons we did not know were attending. City Table cannot guarantee seating or service at the event location; however, every effort will be made to accommodate all City Table patrons.

Beer (domestics & City Table 1801 draft tap) & House Wine. Minimum of 1 hour, maximum of three hours; hourly rate of $20 per person plus a $ 200.00 nonrefundable bar set up fee for the loft area. Any guests wishing full bar drinks, under this package, would be directed to the main level bar; or their order taken and delivered with either a separate bill (they pay), or added to the hosts bill as you prefer.
Full Bar Package to include well drinks, House wines, Champagne Rose and Blanc, Prosecco, Domestic beer bottles, City Table 1801 draft and choice of 2 Craft taps. Minimum of 1 hour, maximum of three hours; hourly rate of $30 per person plus a $200.00 nonrefundable bar set up fee for the loft area.
Branded call drinks as follows: Tito’s, Absolute, or Cirrus Vodka, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Tanqueray Gin, Bacardi Rum, & Johnnie Walker Red Label (or requested comparable), bottled beer domestic & Imports, House wines, Champagne rose & blanc, Prosecco, City Table 1801 draft tap, and choice of 6 Craft taps. Minimum of 1 hour, maximum of four hours; hourly rate of $50 per person ($200.00 non-refundable bar set up fee for the loft area will be waived for Gold and Platinum Packages).
Branded top shelf call drinks as follows: Belvedere, Stoli, or Grey Goose Vodka, Jameson, Glen Livet 12 year, Bulleit 10 year, Woodford Reserve, Eagles, Dewar’s, Crown Royal, Patron, & Johnnie Walker Black Label (or requested comparable), bottled and craft beer, and all Craft taps pouring at the time of event. Minimum of 1 hour, maximum of 4 hours; hourly rate of $70 per person ($200.00 non-refundable bar set up fee for the loft area will be waived for Gold and Platinum Packages).
Deposits / Cancellations
In order to secure your event, a deposit and signed contract must be received. All deposits are non –refundable and an additional fee will apply for cancellations within SEVEN days of a NON PRIVATE EVENT and FOURTEEN days of any PRIVATE EVENT. In the event of a Loft Buyout / or entire Dining and Bar Area Buy Out a minimum cancellation of 30 days is required.
The final guaranteed number of guests must be received by City Table via phone by 11 am three days prior to the event, otherwise, the guest count listed on the signed contract will be the number you are charged for. You will be charged for the actual guest count in the case that it exceeds your guaranteed number, or you may be charged according to the sales minimum fee below. A minimal fee for food and alcohol in the Loft area at any time room is guaranteed private, is at peak times $3000.00; Peak times are considered Friday – Sunday as well as Monday and Tuesday prior to 3 pm when the building is ordinarily closed; Non Peak times are Tuesday night, Wednesday daytime, and Thursday daytime; the sales minimum for non-peak times are 1500.00. City Table at the Farmers Market Restaurant reserves the right to charge by head count guarantee or sales minimum guarantee, whichever is greater. All bookings of the entire Loft also involve a $200.00 non-refundable deposit and service fee. A 5% administrative fee is applied to all bookings.
Each event space is assigned a Sales Minimum based on day of week and time of day. The sales minimum represents the minimum dollars that must be spent for usage of the event space privately. If the sales minimum is not met, then a private space deposit and service fee will be added to the final bill payable by the reservee/hosts/or event coordinator.
In the event separate checks are issued and bills are left unpaid, the reservee (person booking the event) will be responsible for all bills unpaid, and the bills will need settled prior to the reservee exiting the building.
Compliance with the Va. Dept. of A.B.C Board
Please remind all guests to bring necessary identification to comply with Va. Dept. of A.B.C. Regulations. A guest without a valid photo ID will not be served in compliance with the Va. Dept. of A.B.C. City Table reserves all rights not to serve, or cut off service to any patron or individual, that service initial or continued would not be in compliance with Va. Dpt. of A B.C. Board Regulations.
Inclement Weather / Restaurant Closure Clause
In the event the restaurant is closed for inclement weather or other circumstance no deposit fee will be charged and we will make every effort to reschedule your event. However the restaurant will not be responsible for any loss the reservee encounters due to a date change. This applies to, but is not limited to, invitations, floral, cake, rental of equipment such as audio visual, photographers, videographers, or other event planning, or fuel/delivery fees incurred by reservee or guests.
*Consumers are advised that eating raw or undercooked food may increase the risk of getting a foodborne illness. Suggested gratuity for service is 18%. Suggested gratuity for parties, groups, events, and superior service is 20%. If your group needs expedited service, please request one check. Gluten-free items are available upon request.
